7 in fray for Manipur Inner

IMPHAL, April 8 – Seven candidates have filed nomination papers for the second phase Lok Sabha elections to Inner Manipur seat on April 26, State election officials said Wednesday, reports PTI. Wednesday was the last date of filing nomination for the constituency. They said those who filed papers were: BJP nominee Th Chaoba Singh, Federal Party of Manipur candidate L Chandramani Singh, CPI nominee M Nara Singh, Congress candidate T Meinya Singh and independents -- N Iboyaima Singh, L Raghumani and Y Manimohon Singh.

The first phase polls would be held on April 20 in Outer Manipur seat for which six candidates would try their luck. The six candidates for outer manipur were NCP nominee Holkhomang Haokip, BJP candidate Loli Adanee, Nationalist Trinamool Congress nominee Morung Mokunga, Manipur People's Party candidate Kim Gangte, JD(U) nominee Rosang Zuala and Independent Mani Cheranamei.
