Advani doubts Nipamacha's sincerity, says Radhabinod

IMPHAL, January 14: Union Home Minister LK Advani and Defence Minister George Fernandes doubt that the 26 point Action Plan will be implemented by the Nipamacha led United Front Ministry, the Samata Party leader Radhabinod Koijam said. In an interview Radhabinod Koijam said the Home Minister expressed his doubts about the sincerity and honesty of Nipamacha in implementing the Action Plan. The Home Minister expressed this when he met the former after Nipamacha submitted the Action Plan, the Samata Party leader said. When asked about the fate of Nipamacha Government, Radhabinod also said the Union Defence Minister George Fernandez was categorical when he said that the removal of Nipamacha Government is inevitable in the interest of the nation and the state. Responding to a question about the election of Opposition leader, Radhabinod said the general consensus among the Opposition parties is that the election should wait the coming of some ruling members to the Opposition camp. Commenting on the 26 point Action Plan submitted by a high level team led by Chief Minister W Nipamacha Singh to the Union Home Minister, LK Advani, he charged that the Chief Minister had surrendered the State to the Centre. Radhabinod, who floated Manipur Regional Congress Party before joining Samata Party along with nine breakaway group of Congress legislators, flayed Nipamacha for its inability to come up with a white paper on the financial health of the State. Giving reasons for leaving the Congress, Radhabinod said since the BJP and the Congress cannot go together, we decided to join the Samata Party to give more strength to the Opposition parties in their effort to topple the United Front Government.
