Boori-boot in Arunachal celebrated

ITANAGAR, Feb 7 — Boori-boot, the most important festival of Hill Miri tribes of Arunachal Pradesh was celebrated with traditional gaiety and religious fervour in the state on Wednesday, reports PTI. Governor Arvind Dave greeted the people on the occasion, and said the people of Arunachal Pradesh are nature lovers and worship nature for the welfare of entire humanity. According to mythology, the festival is celebrated during January to March every year to rededicate everything to the almighty. Traditional songs and dances are performed all over the State during the festival.
