Bored ministers planning pleasure trip to Moreh

IMPHAL, January 13: An unspecific number of MLAs and ministers at the United Front's camp being currently run at the CM's official bungalow here is said to be fatigued to the point of being bored to death. They want to leave the humdrum of the monotonous camp life and enjoy the real vigorous life of a privileged minister in total freedom elsewhere However being afraid of what the chief minister, the deputy chief minister and other loyal senior cabinet ministers might say and think of them, these bored members of the ruling UF dare not open their mouth about the matter, a very reliable sources told this newspaper. All the same, some senior cabinet ministers who understand the feeling of the young ministers are reported to have taken up steps to make arrangements for them to go for an outing and get some fresh air somewhere. Like some ministers had recently visited Leimakhong on a "picnic", these young ministers are being sent to Moreh town on January 16 for a freshening up trip, the sources said. The group of ministers will be led by the spokesperson of the United Front and also the Minister of Veterinary and Information, Maibam Kunjo and Power Minister Govindas Konthoujam. It is reliably learnt that the Heads of Departments under the ministers who would be participating in the Moreh trip have been asked on the sly to join the trip besides bearing the expenditure of the pleasure trip. Meanwhile, the ministers who have been camping in the office complex of the chief minister since November 15 last year got fresh air toddy as all of them went to Kwakta for picnic. The MAHUD Minister Paonam Achou is reported to have arranged the lunch for the ministers at his private farm at Kwakta. It was a change for the ministers who have been in the chief minister's camp for so many days.
