Forensic report on Dimapur blasts yet to be received

DIMAPUR, Nov 3 ? The Inquiry Committee on October 2 twin bomb blasts is yet to receive Forensic experts? reports till date. Nagaland Commissioner TN Mannen who heads the three member state inquiry committee on the twin blasts, which submitted its report to the state government on October 28 last, revealed today.

Due to the delay in receiving the forensic expert?s report, the commission had delayed submission of its report, said Mannen. ?Probably they are examining. Hopefully they will send us the report soon,? said Mannen.

Referring to the various claims of arrests being made so far, he said ?We are in process of verifying all the directions.?

The committee report reflected mostly suggestions for necessary precautionary measures to be taken in future and also the progress being made so far in the case. He said the Central and state governments are very serious and co-operating in the ongoing investigation to find out the motive and the culprits behind the twin blasts.

The suggestion includes public awareness so as to reduce damages in cases of reoccurrence of such event, sounding of alert in railway stations, bus stations, airport, market places in all major towns in the state. Further, it also suggested more prompt action in areas of crisis management including more coordinated effort in case of such crisis in future.
