Goalpariya film released

CHAPAR, May 17— Dipti Islam of Chapar, who has already created his own place in the tinsel world by producing and directing two video feature films Chengra Bandhurey and Sariya Najaishrey in Goalpariya dialect of the Assamese language, released his third film Mui To Pirit Korongna at ‘Bhai Bhai Talkies’, Dhantola in Bongaigaon district on May 9 last. Like the previous two films, this also has succeeded in getting a good response from the cine-goers on the inaugural day.

The story of the film, written by Islam, narrates the tragic life of a beautiful young girl who dedicated her life to Goalpariya folk song. Although she struggles herself to bring the folk song to the wider platform of culture with the help of her friend, she has to sacrifice her life due to evil elements of her cruel society, just when she is on the threshold of success. Mokbul Hussain produced the film and Mehmood Hussain was behind the camera. Manash Adhikari edited the film at his own ‘Adhikari Vision Studio’ at Guwahati. Surajit Das directed the music while Jiten Roy, Mousumi Poddar, Juli Sarma, Mehmood Hussain, Chandan Sarma and Pintu Nag sang the lyrics composed by the director himself. The film stars, besides Rubul, Rubi and Juman Suman renowned actor Michale of Dhubri and Dipti Islam, Hazrat Ali, Mokbul Hussain, Ansar Ali, Jiten Roy, Nazrul Islam, Nausadul Islam, Mustafizur Hoque, Marzina Begum, Chandra Barman, Debajit Barkalita, Tosimuddin Ahmed and many other local artists. This is the third film produced under the banner of Champavati Productions, Chapar.
