IMPHAL, January 13: The Governor of Manipur Ved Marwah has directed the Speaker of the Manipur Assembly Sapam Shananjoy Singh to -re-convene the third session of the seventh Manipur Legislative Assembly, which was adjourned sine die on December 1 last year by the Speaker. In a letter to the Speaker of Manipur Assembly, the Governor said that 'the adjourned third session of the seventh Manipur Legislative Assembly should be immediately reconvened and the motion of No-Confidence against the Council of Ministers, already admitted, should be taken up for consideration without further delay'. The directive was given in exercise of powers conferred under Article 175 (2) of the Constitution of India, according to the letter. It may be recalled here that the Speaker had written to the Governor on Thursday saying that it will not be possible to reconvene the House session immediately because of the present condition of the Assembly hall.
