IMPHAL, February 8: State Governor Ved Marwah should send a detailed report of the present political crisis to the Centre, PB Acharya, BJP's national secretary in-charge of the Northeast Border Area said in a press conference in Imphal today. Referring to the Governor's message to Chief Minister W Nipamacha and Assembly Speaker S Dhananjoy to immediately reconvene the adjourned Assembly, Acharya said that there should be a conducive atmosphere among the ruling and Opposition before reconvening the House. Expressing dismay at the prevailing crisis in the State, he said "the people of Manipur now require consoling. Though Gujarat has been devastated by an earthquake, but here a different types of political tremors has been shaking the State for more than two months". All the MLAs of both the MSCP and the FPM have become the prisoners in the so-called 'CM's camp'. The Nipamacha ministry has set a new "Guinness Record" in turning all the offices of important Government departments into their dinning halls, Acharya alleged. Democracy is in danger here, he said adding that his party will abide by the democratic norms. The Centre should immediately intervene to remedy the present agony of the people, he added. BJP will not hesitate to take the responsibility if the Assembly and the people wish it after the fall of Nipamacha Ministry. But, leadership issue still remained opened, he further added. He said that Nipamacha Ministry has failed to implement even a single point included in the 26-point Action Plan. Acharya further said his party has adopted a four pronged strategy to pull down the ineffective Nipamacha Government for the welfare and future development of the State. Claiming to have reviewed the political situation and organisational activities of the State, he said he had met Samata Party legislature leader Radhabinod Koijam, O Joy and many other political leaders to bring a change in the State. In reply to a query, Acharya said the Manipur Democratic Alliance, MDA, of the BJP, Samata Party and KNA which was formed just before the last Assembly election still exists. The BJP leader criticised the Nipamacha ministry for its failure to book even a single person who was involved in burning nine oil tankers at Karong along NH 39 recently.
