DIMAPUR, May 22 – Nagaland government has affected another major bureaucratic reshuffle, affecting at least ten Central and eight officials of State Civil Service according to an official notification issued on Tuesday. Among the bureaucrats affected by the transfer included both the deputy commissioner and sub-divisional officer (Civil) of Phek who had hit the headline during the recently concluded Lok Sabha polls in the state. While deputy commissioner Phek V Shashank Shekhar has been transfered and posted as additional secretary Social Welfare & Women Development and also as ex-officio in-charge of Director Women Development, sub-divisional officer (civil) Phek Anu Agarwal has been transferred and posted as under secretary, Geology & Mining Department. Sachopra Vero, who was relieved of Director Printing and Stationery, replaced Shekhar while Motsuthung Lotha who was relieved from under secretary Geology and Mining replaced Agarwal.
Moreover, the controversial deputy commissioner Kohima Zhaleo Rio, the younger brother of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio who had granted earn leave just before the election following complaint from the opposition Congress has been directed to join again in the same post on expiry of his leave while Paolal Hangsing who took over as temporary charge of DC Kohima after Rio leave will return back to his earlier posting as Secretary Home.
Moreover, K T Shukhalu secretary Social Welfare & Women Development replaced DC Tuensang, B Thawang Konyak. Konyak has been transferred as joint secretary Veterinary & Animal Husbandary against L Meyilemba Ao who was transferred as director Printing and Stationery. Secretary, Tourism Thangi Mannen has been transferred and posted as secretary Art and Culture while D K Bhalla has taken over the charge of Tourism while relieving him from the charge of commissioner and secretary of IP&R and Geology and Mining. While, Rajiv Bansal commissioner and secretary, Finance, Science & Technologies has been transfer and posted as commissioner and secretary, School Education and V Sekhose, Secretary, Land Revenue and Fisheries has been transferred and posted as secretary Social Welfare and Women Development.
On the other hand, additional chief secretary and CEO Lalthara, Nagaland commissioner T N Mannen and secretary to the Chief Minister V Sakhrie were given additional charges.
