Manghmunga new MLADC chief

AIZAWL, April 8: Ruling Mizo National Front (MNF) leader Manghmunga was elected unopposed as Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Mizoram's Lai Autonomous District Council (LADC) on Friday, reports PTI. Manghmunga was elected at the LADC session in Mizoram's southern town of Lawngtlai, headquarters of LADC, unopposed, as another candidate, A Rohnuna of Congress, withdrew his nominations in the morning. Former CEM Ukmang Zathang was ousted in a no-confidence motion on Wednesday when 15 out of 20 MNF members withdrew support to his leadership. MNF has 20 members, Congress six and Lai People's Party one in the 27-member council.
