Mizoram House adjourned

AIZAWL, January 18: Close on the heels of the Opposition walk-out on Wednesday night, the Speaker had to adjourn the House for two hours on Thursday following a pandemonium created by the Opposition benches, report agencies. Trouble started soon after the Question Hour when leader of the Opposition and Mizo People's Conference (MPC) president Lalhmingthanga's demand that his adjournment motion be admitted, was rejected by the Speaker, Lalawa. Following this, the Opposition members stalled the proceedings and gathered at the Wel shouting slogans against the Mizo National Front government.
