IMPHAL, January 9: Samata Party Legislature leader Koijam Radhabinod said Manipur Regional Congress Party had joined Samata Party as it had full confidence that it will get Centre's help in toppling Nipamacha Ministry and installing a new Government having similar ideologies with the NDA at the Centre. He told reporters today that there is a high possibility that the Manipur Democratic Front of the Opposition parties will become partners with the NDA government. He said that the MRCP merged to the Samata Party, as it needed Centre's help in pulling down the United Front Ministry. He said that the MRCP was floated as there were some technical difficulties in joining the party directly. Now we will be sending related documents to the Speaker, he added. The Union Home Minister LK Advani had hailed the Opposition move and expressed confidence that a new Government would come up in the State, Koijam said. Terming the Delhi visit of the Opposition team led by him as a big success, he said that the team had urged the Union Defence Minister to impose PR in the State. He said that the PR demand was not to put the people into chaos but to replace the corrupt, inactive and incapable Government. MPP president O Joy said that the Congress might be able to topple the Government but will not be able to form it. That is the reason; the MRCP which later merged to the Samata party was floated to enable the Opposition to form a new Government.
