Imphal, April 23: The underground NSCN (IM) has lambasted the RSS sarshangalachak, KS Sudarshan, for the jingoistic statements he had made during his visit to Imphal recently, charging that Sudarshan has come to Manipur with the intent of sowing seeds of hatred and bloodshed. The proscribed outfit, in a statement axed here, rejected outright Sudarshan?s reported statement that the demand fro Greater Nagaland is a concept promoted by foreign Christian missionaries. It maintained that the Naga struggle is neither a demand for Greater Nagalim nor the concept of Christian missionaries. It reiterated that the Nagas have the right to live in Nagalim because it is their land and they have the right to live together as a nation in their own country, it is not only the foreign missionaries who know the truth and accept the political rights of the Nagas but the whole world shares the same opinion, it maintained. Nagalim is not elastic, and there is no greater Nagalim or smaller Nagalim, it further said. Again rejecting Sudarshan?s charge that communal hatred among communities in the northeast surfaced after the arrival of foreign churches, it said that at no point of time Christianity taught the principle of hatred and untouchability. The churches does not teach caste system, it pointed out, and charged that communal hatred and violence was the result of the teachings of people like Sudarshan. On Sudarshan?s warning that the Nagas are dreaming of a greater Nagaland by taking out portions of Manipur, Assam and Arunachal Pradesh, the statement reiterated that the Nagas are not against the existence of Manipur or the other states, but maintained that Nagalim has already been there and Nagas have been living there for time immemorial. The Nagas only want an integrated Nagalim, it said.
