KOHIMA, July 15 ? NSCN(K) will enforce its own regulations to check influx of illegal migrants from Bangladesh to Nagaland, reports PTI. In a statement here today, the militant outfit, currently on a ceasefire under an agreement with the Union government, said it would issue ?temporary resident permit (TRP)? to Bangladeshi migrants whom the Nagas called ?miyas?. The organisation would issue TRP through its network to ?miyas? for a year, which, however, could be renewed Such people would be restricted to 2,500 per district, the statement said. It also asked land owners not to employ more than one such person for temporary cultivation. The outfit said despite having the Inner Line Relagulation Act which was to regulate the inflow of non-Nagas in the State, its enforcement was ineffective resulting in unabated influx of illegal migrants.
