Imphal, December 21: The Peoples Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak today said the sovereign Bhutan rather than supporting the movement to restore the lost sovereignty of the region is standing against the people of the north east people whose rights had been taken away. It is a game for the government of India but it will read to conflicts amongst kinsmen it further said. Prepak wants to have good relations with Bhutanese but it condemned the puppet Jigme Wangchuk government. It condemned in the highest terms the killing of those who are in their custody. It clarified that the offer to go back was given only after the Indian army surrounded Bhutan. Bhutan was wailing for completion of supply of arms from India and during the period Bhutan said it was waiting for the approval of Bhutan assembly. The operations began on Dec 15 under the direction of Indian army it said. Bhutan army acts on the will of Indian army. India constructed a, highway connecting Thimpu the capital of Bhutan in 1965 and in 1949 Indo Bhutan treaty was signed it reminded. After the war with China relations with Bhutan became very important it said. In 1960 Bhutan had less than 10,000 army and police personnel. Bhutan is technically under India now as it is doing whatever India says it pointed out. If it was really interested in the insurgents going away from Bhutan those surrounding Bhutan should have been taken away. The people of Bhutan should condemn such an act. Under the Geneva Conventions those apprehended should be declared as prisoners of war. Article 3,4,6,12,13,14,15,16 and 17 should be enforced it demanded.
