NEW DELHI, January 4: In a new twist to political turmoil in Manipur, ten Congress MLAs, who had broken ranks and floated a regional party, today joined Samata Party raising its strength to 11 in the 60-member State Assembly, reports PTI. Led by Radhabinod Koijam, the legislators announced their addressed by Samata Party chief Jaya Jaitly. The ten MLAs recently parted ways from Congress and formed Manipur Regional Congress Party under the presidentship of Koijam who has now been unanimously elected leader of Samata legislature party in Manipur. Congress, which had 11 members in the House, is now left with only one member Rishang Keishing, a former Chief Minister.
