The Speaker ordered that the two members will be henceforth treated as a separate group and separate sitting arrangement in the House have been ordered. The two were not included in the Council of Ministers of the PF regime though two other members of the FPM, Gangmumei Kamei who is the other president of the party and Khashim Ruivah were inducted into the Cabinet. Speaking to reporters at the premises of the State Assembly this evening, W Thoiba and Raina said they decided to break away from the FPM and form the Democratic Federal Party of Manipur as the leadership was insincere and did not maintain transparency. Thoiba and Raina however reiterated that they would continue supporting the People's Front Government. Speaking in an emotional tone, K Raina said he felt greatly betrayed by the president of the FPM, Gangmumei Kamei as he kept in the dark till the eleventh hour about the induction of the two MLAs of the FPM into the Council of Ministers. Even a telephone call to Gangmumei Kamei did not elicit a clear response, he added. Thoiba said ever since the inception of the FPM he bad put in all his mite to help the party reach the present status. However he added lack of transparency and sincerity was the bane of FPM and therefore he decided to part ways with the party.
