Solution to BTC issue needed soon: Urkhaw

UDALGURI, Feb 5 ? ?We, the Bodo organisations would like to have a satisfactory solution of Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) issue at the earliest so that everybody living inside the proposed territory may have a prosperous and dignify home with co-operation from all ethnic groups. For this, the present problem of 93 villages (to be included or not) should not be a hanging issue in forming the much awaited BTC.? This problem could be solved by way of forming committee even after formation of BTC.? This was stated by Urkhaw Gwra Brahma the Rajya Sabha MP during a brief chat with the local mediamen here at Udalguri on Monday.

Brahma was here to lay the foundation stone of Upendra National Academy a Bodo medium school being initiated by a Board of Directors under Upendra Nath Brahma Trust, its head office being at Kokrajhar. The MP also inaugurated the temporary school building near Golma Chowk on the occasion. He also expressed concern over the deteriorating standards in Bodo medium schools the meeting to this effect was chaired by Rihon Daimary, local MLA and attended by Sri Natho Ram Boro, MLA of Kalagaon LAC, Lwmshrw Daimary, secretary of ABSU among many others.
