Imphal, December 04: The Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup in a press statement today contradicted the UNLF's statement issued in the local dailies on December 2. The Statement made a specific reference to the members of KYKL who left the organization and joined the UNLF including the killing of L Anand Sharma by KYKL. The statement mentioned that L Anand was given capital punishment by KYKL according to its law not to send any message to UNLF. It further charged that UNLF was concerned for its prestige while it does not recognize others to exist with self esteem. The statement also stated that KYKL had issued an order to those who left the party to either return the arms or pay or face capital punishment. It said the Ithai Island is an area with small hamlets and the KYKL cadres were camping at the area which is known to all. Sending Anand to the proximity of KYKL camp was to test the organization?s capability it said. It further questioned the reason why a particular statement was left out. This was regarding the quit notice to KYKL from the area unless the deceased was released. There was a move to push out KYKL cadres from the area. This could be perceived as 50/60 cadres of UNLF were strategically moving around fully armed it said. It argued that the UNLF's stand not to attack first is just like saying one can take the meat without spilling blood. It is just like dictating terms to KYKL by UNLF it added. The UNLF is saying something else and doing something else it said. How can there be unification when internecine killings have not stopped the statement issued by Lanngamba Mangang today said. KYKL is against all internecine killings and KYKL is only interested in freedom and will move ahead with full determination it said. It is a turning point as our mothers have taken a role it further said. It appealed to the mothers to bless them to achieve their goal.
