The state government would soon bring a legislation ?Arunachal Pradesh Prevention of Organised Crime? on lines with a similar legislation of Maharashtra Government to tackle the rise in insurgent activities besides checking other criminal activities in the state, reports PTI. The law was necessary in the wake of recent insurgent activities in Tirap and Changlang districts besides reports of militanats from neighbouring Assam and Nagaland trying to sneak into the State Chief Minister Mukul Methi said here, while speaking at the passing out parade for the 32nd batch recruit constables at Banderdewa near here. Though one company of India Reserve Battalion (ITB) has been raised, at least three more companies were further required to be raised to maintain law and order, he said. The Chief Minister asserted modernisation of police force would be one of the key areas of his government.
