Nipamacha action plan widens MSCP rift

IMPHAL, January 6: The rift in Manipur State Congress Party (MSCP) widened after the W. Nipamacha Singh-led United Front of Manipur government signed a 12-point action plan with the Union home ministry today. Many senior MSCP leaders, loyal to Union minister of state for food processing Thounaojam Chaoba Singh termed the action plan a sell out of the state's powers to the Centre. Plans hatched to remove Nipamacha as MSCP chief

IMPHAL, December 6: With differences widening between the working president of the MSCP, T Chaoba and president W Nipamacha, moves are on to remove Nipamacha from the post of president, revealed an inside source of the party today. According to the source a hush-hush meeting of the Central Executive meeting of the party was held a few days back wherein prudent to remove Nipamacha as chief of the MSCP. Haokholet and Jayenta also jump onto Samata bandwagon

Breakaway Congress MLAs merge with Samata Party

IMPHAL, January 4: The breakaway Manipur Regional Congress Party, consisting of ten Congress MLAs who split recently from the party, has merged with the Samata party.
