GUWAHATI, Nov 7 ? The State and Central Governments have signed an agreement with the World Bank for the implementation of a Rs 1024.53-crore Assam Agricultural Competitiveness Project (AACP) from February 1 next year. This was disclosed by Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi here today.

State seeks Rs 517 cr for repair works

Share of foodgrains going down in Meghalaya

SHILLONG, Nov 5 ? The MS Swaminathan Research Foundation has said that the foodgrain production in the gross cropped area in Meghalaya has declined over the past decade, coming down from 57.27 per cent in the triennium ending 1990 to 51.32 per cent in the next ending 2000.
