KNF spells out its goal, objective

Imphal, June 04: In yet another slur cast on the security personnel, family members of Thingom Surjit alias Rocky (25) of Thamnapokpi Mayai Leikai alleged that the youth was picked up by security force personnel and later done to death and not as claimed by 33 Assam Rifles authorities that Surjit was killed in an encounter. IMPHAL, June 4 – A tribal students’ body has launched an indefinite economic blockade since Wednesday along portions of two national highways in Manipur to press for its demands, the organisation said, reports PTI. Imphal, June 03: The Gauhati High Court has asked the Army authority to pay Rs 1.5 lakhs as compensation for killing a person identified as T Moni (34) at Tonsen Lamkhai after being arrested by troopers of 14 Sikh Light infantry in 1998.
