AIZAWL, July 27: The first chief executive member of the erstwhile Lushai hills district of Assam (now Mizoram) and former Rajya Sabha member, Lalsawia, died of blood sugar on Monday, family sources said. Lalsawia, who was 80, leaves behind his wife, one son and four daughters. AIZAWL, July 22: Over 32,000 families in Mizoram were identified as living below poverty line, the state food and civil supplies minister Aichhinga said on Wednesday. Altogether 2,455 families of the 32,555 families were living in the state capital alone, he told the House in a written reply. The families living below poverty line would be given ration through the public distribution system (PDS) at half the retail price, he said.
