Imphal, June 26: Prominent social organizations of Nagaland today warned of a collapse of the peace process between the Centre and NSCN factions if the Government did not recognize their demand for unification of all Naga dominated areas in North East as a "non-negotiable issue". "Unification of all Naga areas under a single administration is our birth right and a non-negotiable issue ...the extension of ceasefire between the Centre and NSCN factions could be a problem if this demand is not accepted," Naga Peoples Movement for Human Rights (NPMHR) spokesman Neingulo Krome told reporters here...

KOHIMA, June 26 – Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has said his government was for an out-of-court settlement of the prolonged dispute over demarcation of inter-state boundary lines with Assam in a spirit of ‘give and take,’ reports PTI. GUWAHATI, June 26 – The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has threatened to drop the promised loan to the Assam Government for power sector reforms because of the failure of the government to comply with the reform conditions. In a letter to the Department of Expenditure of the Finance Ministry, a copy of which was also forwarded to the Chief Secretary, Assam, the director of the ADB Sharmila Chavaly said that the Bank processed a loan for the power sector in Assam last year and about 250-million dollar loan was in the pipeline for the current calendar year.
