New Delhi, April 16: Loss-making public sector units under the department for development of the northeastern region (Doner) could soon be put through a stringent reform process to transform them into financially viable enterprises.

The units that are suffering losses include the Northeastern Regional Agriculture Marketing Corporation, Northeastern Handicrafts and Handlooms Development Corporation and the Sikkim Mining Corporation.

GUWAHATI, April 16 – No fresh incident of violence has been reported from any part of the ethnic riot hit North Cachar Hills and Cachar districts in the last 72 hours, said the Inspector Geneal of Police (Special Branch) Sri Khagen Sharma.
