Imphal, February 07: Another active worker of Th Bira, the MSCP candidate in Nambol A/c was shot at and injured by some unidentified gunmen this evening at Nambol Naorem Mayai Leikai. The worker identified as Leishangthem Nabadeep, 45, 0f Nambol Naorem Leikai sustained a bullet injury at his right thigh and has been admitted to RIMS hospital. NLFT attack an exercise in revenge

AGARTALA, Feb 6 — The outlawed National Liberation Front of Tripura (NLFT) militants attacked a Mog hamlet at Nalicherra in Dhalai last night and shot dead seven villagers, all tribals. Assam fails to secure rural funds

NEC seeks Rs 6,075 cr for 10th plan

NEW DELHI, Feb 6 — Even as the amended North Eastern Council (NEC) Bill is pending clearance in the Parliament, the agency has sought an enhanced role for itself in the region seeking stiff hike in allocation of Rs 6,075 crore for 10th Five Year Plan period.
