Kohima, Jan. 14: Pro-insurgent Briton David Patrick Ward, arrested in Nagaland six months ago on charges of assault and arson, will have a high-profile visitor to his prison cell next week in the form of his country?s deputy high commissioner to India, Andrew Hall.

NSCN top guns plan Feb. visit

New Delhi, Dec. 25 The two top leaders of the National Socialist Council of Nagalim (Isak-Muivah) are planning a second visit to India almost a year after spending a hectic fortnight in New Delhi trying to break the ice with the political leadership.

If all goes well, NSCN (I-M) chairman Isak Chisi Swu and general secretary Thuingaleng Muivah will be in the capital in February to take the peace process a few steps closer to the goal of ending Naga insurgency. The duo is expected to pack in a trip to Nagaland, their first since July 1999.

NSCN (IM) supports ULFA bandh, calls strike in Naga areas

IMPHAL, Dec 21?The National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Isasc Muivah) extending moral support to ULFA and other revolutionary organisations which have come under heavy attack from the Bhutanese army in Bhutan for the past few days, has imposed a 24 hour bandh in all Naga areas in the North east.

The bandh began at of 6 am on Sunday 21 and will conclude at 6 am the following day, according to sources here. The outfit which is currently continuing peace talk with the Government of India since August 1997 also stated that they fully endorse the 48 hour bandh called by ULFA, NDFB and KLO.

New Delhi, Dec. 20: The National Socialist Council of Nagalim (Isak-Muivah) today broke its silence over the Royal Bhutan Army?s operations against militants of the Northeast. Terming the exercise as brutal and cruel, the NSCN (I-M) said the military drive has shocked the people of the region.

Dimapur, Dec. 19: The National Socialist Council of Nagalim (Isak-Muivah) has denied the Kuki Inpi?s allegation that the former was providing logistic support to the Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA) rebels. The apex body of the Kuki tribe in Manipur had recently urged the NSCN (I-M) to restrain the KRA cadre who are engaged in a series of bloody clashes with Karbi outfit United People?s Democratic Solidarity (UPDS) in Karbi Anglong district in Assam.
