Imphal, December 24: Police today dispersed the large numbers of rallyists who came to participate in the protest rally. The rally organized by the JAC against brutal murder of Kumari Mayengbam Sumatibala Devi today began at Sagolband Tera Tongbram Leikai. The JAC today condemned the police action. Ibobi govt set to take over Kangla

Imphal, Dec. 18: The Manipur government is mounting pressure on the Assam Rifles to vacate the historical Kangla Fort, which it has been occupying for several decades now.

Chief minister Okram Ibobi Singh said at a meeting of the security coordination committee here on Monday that the paramilitary force should shift to a new campus as soon as possible. Centre yet to clear Tipaimukh Project

Imphal, July 15: Power Minister Phungzathang Tonsing today informed the Assembly that the Centre is yet to give clearance to the 1500 megawatt Tipaimukh Hydro Electric Project.
