British library team documents Majuli’s musical art forms

Centre to handover NH-52 to BRO

KUMARIKATA (Nalbari), Feb 21 — Worried over dilapidated condition of roads in the State, the Centre has decided to handover the National Highway (NH) 52 to the Border Roads Organisation (BRO). Delay in BTC boundary likely

GUWAHATI, Feb 21 — State Government is not in a hurry to demarcate the boundary of proposed Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) despite the pressure from struggling Bodo groups including BLT and its allies ABSU and BPAC. Sources informed that in view of the stiff opposition voiced by non-Bodo groups including Koch-Rajbongshis and Adivasis living in Bodo heartland, the State Government would now try its best to evolve a consensus about the boundary of the BTC in order to find a lasting solution to the Bodo problem.

Space centre draws up plans for NE

SHILLONG, Feb 21 – Secretary, Department of Space and Chairman, North East Space Application Centre (NE-SAC), Dr K Kasturirangan is of the view that the Centre would play a vital role of integrating space technology with the overall development of the region.
