BORDUMSA, February 17: All the ethnic groups of Arunachal Pradesh, along with their sub-groups, are poised for a major leap forward soon with the State Government taking up an ambitious scheme to preserve the culture of each of them. Arunachal NCP leader resigns

ITANAGAR, February 15: Inya Tao, the joint secretary in-charge of press and publicity of the National Congress Party (NCP), has resigned from the party post and the primary membership along with his supporters, reports UNI. They alleged that NCP was almost defunct in the State. In a statement here, Tao said he along with all his supporters had joined the Indian National Congress and expressed full faith in the leadership of Smti Sonia Gandhi at the centre, Chief Minister Mukul Mithi and Minister of State for Home Rima Tripodia. AAPSU bandh ends: Police open fire to quell mob near Itanagar

ITANAGAR, February 9: Police opened fire to ward off a violent mob at Nirjuli, about 25 kms from here, last night, official sources said, reports UNI. The sources said about 60 AAPSU bandh supporters tried to put a road blockade and pelted stones at a police patrolling party. Arunachal flood issue taken up with China

ITANAGAR, February 2: Union Minister for Water Resources Arjun Charan Sethi today assured the flood-affected people of Arunachal Pradesh that the External Affairs Ministry had taken up the issue of flash floods with the Chinese government and was hopeful of a suitable outcome, reports PTI. Lalit Sharma new Chief Secretary of Arunachal
